Public Interactive (PI), a subsidiary of Public Radio International, is public broadcasting's leading integrated application service provider, creating and operating Web tools and applications serving over 160 affiliates that collectively operate over 300 public radio and television stations nationwide. Programs such as PRI's "The World" and "Car Talk" depend on Public Interactive's technology and people.
Our Development team is responsible for designing, building, and supporting our Java-based Internet applications. As our Developer, you'll be responsible for translating our clients' requirements into modern Web applications, taking them through the entire software development life cycle.
The successful candidate will have a related undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience; 1-3 years experience in general web application development, as well as 1-3 years of technical experience in the following areas:
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Java servlets
- SQL
- Troubleshooting complex problems in a production environment
Experience in the following areas is a plus, but not required:
- Struts, Hibernate, and Spring
- Lucene
- Eclipse
- JUnit
