Monetizing Your Stream -- Increasing Membership Support
Public Interactive strives to help your station improve
your membership and revenue-generating capabilities. Online streaming
can be an effective way to extend your reach and generate new
membership but streaming can be costly; therefore, we make it possible
for you to tie the two together by conducting membership/fundraising on
your station's live stream.
Simultaneous Live Stream/Pledge Pop Up Window
Your station may choose to activate a custom pop-up
window that links to your online pledge form. The pop-up window will
appear when the custom player is launched:
- When the listener clicks on the "Listen Live" button, both the custom pop-up window and the player will open at the same time.
- For an example, see KRWG or WWNO
- The
custom pop-up window will contain a custom pitch, graphics and a link
to the station's online pledge form. They can be modeled on those shown
below, or we can use windows created by the station.
- This option can be used during a pledge drive or off-drive, as your station prefers.

Streaming Pledge Level
Create a special "streamie" pledge level and package specifically for
those who listen to your stream. Include thank-you gifts that computer
users and out-of-area listeners can appreciate, such as mouse pads,
mugs, etc. Add this to your online pledge form.
Streaming Pledge Day(s)
You've heard of Cyberdays, which encourage listeners to
pledge online. Similarly, you can encourage your online listeners to
become members via Streaming Pledge Days.
Using a combination of Audio gateways, pop up windows
and the streaming pledge level, create an online membership campaign
that targets your streaming audience. Special raffles and drawings
never hurt. Duration should most likely be longer than a day.
Streaming Page Message
On the streaming page is a white box with a "Support
Streaming" message and link to your pledge form. You may customize this
copy, and graphics may be added for underwriting or sponsorship. Example: WNMU
